I have had FreeNAS running for some months. Lots of data on it and no problems.
Last week we had a series of power cuts/bounces. UPS drained, came back, just loaded, died again.
Result: USB with freenas corrupted.
Tried reinstall of my original Freenas CD (vsn 9.1) on a new USB drive. that crashed.
Downloaded and Install 9.3 - That has worked.
Imported the Volume - That seemed to have worked.
But there are no CIFS shares with all my data.
(I had another server giving disk errors so had moved a large quantity of files to the freeNAS temporarily while I replaced that drive and rebuilt a new mirror) So only an old backup of that lot.
Any ideas on how to recover the CIFS Share?
