Checking mirror pre upgrade

Sorry for the beginner question here, but what's the best way to ensure that no data is in the process of being written or replicated to a mirror drive before removing it so that I can upgrade to a larger drive? I just want to ensure that any pending operations are 100% complete before I pull one of the drives out.

Well what I'm actually asking is how to tell no operations are running *before* I take it offline. I.E. what is data is being written when I try to take it offline? Perhaps that just doesn't matter?

Doesn't matter. The offline process will drain the queues and quiesce the drive.
