I received this email today:
Code:
Cron <root@Embassy> /usr/local/libexec/nas/scrub -t 7 freenas-boot

starting first scrub (since reboot) of pool 'freenas-boot'

Oddly, the (only) scrub is a pool scrub scheduled for the first Sunday of every month. The second Sunday of every month is a long SMART test, and every Tuesday and Thursday is a short SMART test. What I'd like to know is why a boot scrub occurs randomly and does not show under my scheduled scrubs. If possible, I'd like to have more control over my NAS and schedule boot scrubs under the Scrub section.

Build: FreeNAS-11.0-U4

Ohh I see, thank you. I take it there is no way to change the timing of when it runs? I assume it's short enough (3 min) that it won't interfere or drain resources when other tests or scrubs run?

You can set the number of days to the next scheduled run. It is default to 7, but it is changeable.

It is fast and not resource intense.
