I am trying to get my media folder mounted on my Ubuntu 18.04 laptop:

sudo mount -t cifs -o username*****,password*****,uid=0,gid=0 //192.168.0.22/WinShare/Media

It returns:
mount: /mnt/WinShare/Media: cannot mount //192.168.0.22/WinShare/Media read-only.

I can;t see where to edit permissions in the 11.2 version.

Check your linux manpages, your mount command has incorrect syntax.

Will the manpages on mount tell me where to access users and permissions on the new 11.2 gui

How about reading the FreeNAS guide?

I've sorted it now, without spending hours reading the manpages and the FreeNAS guide.
I mistakenly thought I could get some help here, but no I can't
