Hey everyone!

I just got my new shiny Nexus 7 tablet yesterday and was planing on downloading some music and videos from my freenas server today but I can't connect!

I've tried ES_fileexplorer and Total Commander but both have the same problem!
I can connect to the Share without a password both from my mac and my pc but when I do the same from the tablet I can see the share name, but when I try to enter I just get a invalid password/username! ok... so I tried adding my username and password to the apps to when logging in but then I can't even connect to the server!

I'm running afp and CIFS shares and apparently it's working since I can see the first initial folder but after that it goes fubar!

Anyone have some ideas?

I'm thinking you should look into forums supporting your tablet. If you are able to connect from your Mac and PC then clearly the problem isn't with your server.

I dont use CIFS and I only use AFP for TM backups, but for general file sharing I use SSH/SFTP from all of my client devices to FreeNAS. There are plenty of SSH/SFTP/FTP apps available for Android. Though this doesn't answer your original issue with your current setup, it may be another option. SSH Setup >> http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/SSH
