I'm not sure why your provider would matter here, unless they provided the router. But "loopback NAT" or "hairpin NAT" can be tricky, and not all routers support it. As an alternative, you can set up DNS records pointing to the internal IP of your Traefik jail (a slightly more elegant alternative to editing the hosts file). That would most likely also be something you'd do on your router. If it doesn't support that, your Pi-Hole instance does.
