Previously I've always used CD emulation with a Syslinux boot disk to install FreeNAS. It's been a few years now, but I decided to try it with the current TrueNAS. Unfortunately I get the following error:
Mounting from cd9660:iso9660/TRUENAS failed with error 2.

It appears the loader is looking for a particular volume label which doesn't work with Syslinux CD emulation. I haven't tried Grub4DOS yet. I also haven't tried SCALE, but I prefer FreeBSD for now. Will I need to dedicate a thumb drive for this purpose? I like to keep things like this on a multiboot drive so I don't have so many to carry around.
