can't access using ftp

I already manage to make share cifs and can enter that folder without any problem. but now i try to access using ftp using windows explore " ftp://<ip address>:<port number> "
i already follow the tutorial on youtube i check local login and always chroot, but i cant enter using my FreeNAS user. the user i already asign to ftp group but still cant enter. then i try check box root login and anonymous login. i can enter the volume using root and anonymous. but using local user still cannot. is thare something i miss for setup ftp ?

Anything in /var/log/messages or /var/log/auth.log when the user has a failed connection attempt?

this is my version of freeNAS. i just doing freenas for school project.. so the spec is bit low.


yea that is another problem.. when i try to check log messages, it keep saying permission denied even i already login as root.

freenas ip : 192.168.1.100
laptop ip : 192.168.1.3
i dont understand why he search user inside my laptop not in freenas

and i cant do anything about spec until this project really work. so i cant propose for upgrading
