Cant Access from some machines

Okay I have 20 computers on a domain about 12 can connect to the freenas and 8 cant. All machines can ping the nas. But just get the cant connect from windows when they try to browse to it.

\\3dshare\ any ideas or suggestions. network discovery and file sharing is on...

Version of Windows? Try browsing to the IP address instead of the machine name.
I have has issues with that but I forget the reason; it is a Windows setting though.
You just substitute the IP address for the name like: \\192.168.1.101\your-share\

PS. I have run into that issue with Debian derived Linux also, such as Mint Linux, but it is for a different reason.
The easy solution is using the IP of the NAS.

Same revision on all the systems whether they can or can't access FreeNAS?
