Hi,
I have a wonderful FreeNAS 9.3 Stable on a HP ProLiant server, but I cannot update the system : when I click on the Update button in the "Apply Pending Update" window, appear the window that I attached, next the web management return to the previous windows, but nothing is updated !

Why ? Where I'm wrong ? My FreeNAS is installed on a USB flash disk.

How much capacity is left on the boot device, from System -> Boot? If it's getting full, delete some boot environments you do not plan to boot into.

Notice your Active column. It says you are "Now" on the default environment. http://doc.freenas.org/9.3/freenas_system.html#boot

Where your bottom entry says "Reboot", mine says "Reboot, Now". I think something is amiss. Maybe someone else can diagnose this further.

I'm betting you need to set the STABLE entry as Activate and then reboot.

The update process seems to have failed to reboot. Try rebooting manually. If the machine does not reboot in the current update, with "Now" in last row as diedrichg suggests, then something is broken. Secondly, your "default" boot option is dated the same as the latest update, which seems very odd.

My suggestion would be to save your config file somewhere safe and reinstall (the latest) 9.3 STABLE and go from there, as there does seem to be something wrong with your installation, not least that it is so small at 674 MiB. If you press the "Status" button in your second screenshot, is everything OK?

Hi rogerh, this is the screenshot after click on the "Status" button :

Also I specify that in the previous screenshot, the row wich contains "2015-07-07 14:19:00 GMT" referes to a USB FLASH DISK with FreeNAS Stable... I don't know if I explained correctly.

Everything looks healthy, so it just isn't clear why the update failed. What happens to the 'Boot" screen if you reboot?

Hi,
I resolved after a Reboot.

Tnx to all.
Thanks for letting us know. As a matter of interest, my system did exactly the same thing (set the new boot record but didn't reboot as part of the update process) when applying the latest update, 201508250051.
