I have FreeNAS 8.3.0R (finally) operating with miniDLNA 1.0.24 amd64 on a HP N40L uServer. FreeNAS on a USB stick, miniDLNA on the HDD.

The issue I have is that the virtual MAC address for the DLNA server keeps changing some digits (yet to establish what triggers the change, but may be setting the mounting points which I had a few goes at to get DLNA working). The MAC address is 02.xx.xx.00.0B.0B with the "xx.xx" the digits that vary.

I use Cisco Network Magic on a PC and Fing on my Android to keep an eye on my home network and each of course they use the IP addr and MAC addr to identify a device... each time it changes I get an unknown device on my network.

Anywhere in the setup where I can set a fixed MAC?

TIA!

No

I think this is planned to be fixed in version 9.1, which was supposed to be released this month but probably won't be.

I dont think a timeline was ever set to 9.1...

Anyway, the feature will be included in upcoming 8.3.1, first beta to be release in a couple weeks.
