Hi, I'm running on a 11.0 and I need to create a VM with a particular MAC address. Looking at the 11.1-RC1 User Guide has a clear MAC address options, but looks like the current 11.0 doesn't. Does anyone know where can I find the settings for my existing VM in the root file system so that I can edit the bhyve command that is launching the VM?

It is a new feature not found in the current release.

Sure I understand that gui-wise it’s not possible to set the MAC. But still when I create a VM today in the gui there must be some config file created in the filesystem which tells bhyve what to run. If someone can point me to where the VM config files are created than I’m sure I’ll be able to „hack” it for my needs.

I have read that people have tried this, but not where anyone had success. Perhaps checking FreeBSD or bhyve websites might be helpful. Or, just run the RC or wait until the RC turns into the stable release version in a few weeks.
