Can Syncoid tell TureNAS of Deleted Datasets?

We have a hypervisor running sanoid to take snapshots and uses syncoid to push the snapshots to a TrueNAS server. I am wondering, can syncnoid tell TrueNAS of a deleted datasets/or is there a retention policy in TrueNAS to delete datasets that haven't received snaphots in the last X amount of months?
