I have some common folders I keep media in .. MUSic folder has my MP3's, Apple TV has all my ripped video (in iTunes format M4v) and some other folders, but you get the idea.

I want to share these folders to BOTH AFP (Apple) and CIFS (Windows 7) users on the same local network.

Can I link both the AFP & CIFS settings to the same folder .... ?

This must be the day to necro threads. Yes, it's an ancient thread, and you'd have been better off starting a new one. But that said, as Darren alluded to, the correct answer is one share, one protocol. And since Macs do CIFS just fine, there's no reason for that protocol to be anything other than CIFS, unless you want to back up to the share using TimeMachine. In that case, make a new share for TimeMachine.
