Cam error from backup config

I had a hardware change and all was well. I started getting a cam error. After searching the forums, I have replaced the SATA cables, tested without the drives. Still have the cam error. Used a different flash drive. Same cam error. Bought a new flash drive, fresh install. Bam! no issues, that is, until I loaded my backed up configuration. So if the config is corrupt or something, what do I do now? Is there something I can change in the config through an editor to remove the issue?
