I have a single ubuntu virtual machine that is running on Bhyve. Anytime I loose power that virtual machine is restarted, however FreeNAS stays up which is what I expect with it being on an UPS. Is there something I can do to change this behavior, or is this even expected? Also are there specific logs I can look that illustrate that the SIGHUP came from Bhyve and why?

From Ubuntu :
Nov 21 20:00:39 MissionControlCenter systemd[1]: Reloading OpenBSD Secure Shell server.
Nov 21 20:00:39 MissionControlCenter sshd[1330]: Received SIGHUP; restarting.
Nov 21 20:00:39 MissionControlCenter systemd[1]: Reloaded OpenBSD Secure Shell server.

Nov 21 20:00:39 MissionControlCenter sshd[1330]: Server listening on :: port 22.

Nope, though it might be worth making a bug report at bugs.freenas.org. If you do, post the issue number here.

Got ya good idea. I feel like I really dont have enough detail at the moment to call this a bug or if its some configuration on my part really. Any guides you know of regarding logs, settings etc for bhyve?
