Hi,

QQ - am I able to view the vm configs for VM's I create via the Gui? Tried using iohyve but reporting nothing. Also vm-hyve not installed.

Is there anyway to query the VM's running/config from the CLI/Shell?

Thx
M

There is no CLI tool for the VMs created in the UI. Opposite is true for iohyve.

So basically VM's really won't be feature complete in 11.0.

I truly hope this is being worked upon.
What I'm saying is that the vms should be manageable by both gui and cli.

PS: was none of the work done on FN10 reusable? Or should I shut up about it?

When the machine is stopped there is no machine anymore to play with in the CLI

From my point of view (maybe some freebsd experts can correct me), the bhyve vm are like virtualbox throw away vm.
With bhyvectl you can spin up a machine or take it down like the gui do behind the curtains. If you need to intract with an UEFI machine you can use VNC and for non UEFI (using the UEFI-CSM Fw) you can use the cu command (cu -l /dev/nmdmXB where X is the number of vm)
