I think I posted this on the wrong place. (sorry!)

Hey everyone and Good Evening!

My name is Mike and I've done a bit of research, however, I guess I don't know how to google my question since this is my first server and I'm not 100% knowledgeable. My question is...I have about 3TB worth of movies, wedding photos/videos, photos, and other miscellaneous files/videos. What I'm trying to figure out is....what is the best type of service(paid/cloud/hardware/etc) for storing it? I recently had a couple hard drives go bad at the same time and luckily I had a 4tb HDD external that had a full list of files that I have on the server. Now, this server is not a synology server or anything. It's basically a computer that I add 2 enclosure and 4 hard drives too(RAID Z1) but I know I can't rely on the RAID for backup stuff. Any ideas? I've tried installing VM to put ubuntu on and try to use crashplan....unfortunately, I'm just not knowledgeable enough to get that to work. It's going to take more time. Thanks for your help!

Also, I don't mind if its JUST the files/videos and not the configs/passwords/users/accounts/etc of truenas. I don't mind re doing all the pools and formatting the drives if need be, as long as I'm able to drag/copy/paste back onto the smb.

using truenas 12.0-U2.1

I have access to both Windows and Mac and using a Mac, crashplan can be loaded as an app, and can see my raid through finder(I guess) and so thats how I will be backing things up. For unlimited data/10$-month, if it works(which it looks like it currently is and I'm only wanting the files backed up and not the configs, etc), it's easy and no brainer. Thanks!

p.s, I'll close this thread in a couple days just so people who may not have had an answer may have a solution to maybe their own problem. :)
