advise on backup solution for home assistant?

hey all,

being trying to figure out the best way I can setup a weekly backup my home assistant config folder to freenas. the config folder itself is already a samba share.

iv been getting ideas from setting up rsnapshot on freenas and pull from the HA share. Another option is to setup an automation with shell command to copy the files over. just wanted to get get some insight from you super smart people on this forum which direction I should take.

No i have not yet. Any suggestions? For now, I have been manually copying the intended folders to my share.
