hey guys

I am in need for a new mouse, so I went through many stores, many forums but it seems, that I am searching at the wrong place.
Maybe we have here less gamers with less need for this LED stuff but with a focus on pure functionality.

I am searching for a small, wireless mouse with a good sensor.
Preferably just with a mouse wheel, right and left click, nothing more.

I have tried several mice within the past 3 years and it is really hard to find a mouse with that basic things.
Tried several logitech, but the quality is so bad, that I am not longer supporting this company.
Currently I have a Microsoft mouse but the sensor is so bad, that I am having troubles to point precise.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for me?

I had similar, frustrating, experiences making a trackball choice to pair with my SpaceNavigator 3D mouse. The cheaper current Logitech were absolute crap, failing after a month or so use. In the end I reluctantly bought their MX Ergo based on a couple of reviews, but confidently expecting to be returning it for credit in short order. However, it has performed flawlessly with daily use over the last 4 months and is the best trackball I have owned to date. All the functions are working well and it seems much more solidly built than its predecessors. Of course, YMMV, but I'd encourage you to try it out. I was really surprised by it!

I have been using a Logitech M510 on my computer at work for over a year with no problems at all and I had one on my computer at home also for about a year until I recently started having problems with it. I think the problems were down to interference because the wireless mouse and wireless keyboard would both have problems where they just stopped responding. Wired mouse and keyboard have had no problems.

I will not use anything but Razer mice. I value my shoulders to much so I go for high precision sensor and a egonomic body that won’t make my hand have weird shapes all day.

haha same here, tried many years ago the razer copperhead (when it was new), but this mouse was just crap. ergonomically nightmare and stopped working within a year....

now i have a Mionix castor, which i really like, but it is nothing for work. I need something small and wire less to put into a pocket and run to the next meeting

"Small" isn't particularly compatible with ergonomic, which most of the high quality mice will try to be, so you may have to ditch "small." There are some pretty okay "laptop-grade" mice, but unless you need the portability, you're better off on a real mouse.

There's a massive quality difference between the low end Logitech mice and the better ones. While I understand not wanting more than the minimum buttons, which is usually all I use, I've found the Logitech MX Master to be very functional. It isn't quite as nice as the MX1000's I bought years ago for the office and loved, but it also doesn't have the charger with periodic need for cleaning. The 1000 and Master are both good enough to track directly on my desk, or even a clear glass desk, but I like the feel of it on a decent pad, so I usually have an X-Trac Ripper under it.

And yes the cheap Logitechs are junk, pretty much just like all the other cheap mice.

Hi, I also have difficulty finding functional mice because they are too big and hurt my hands. I finally settled on the Roccat Kone Pure SE https://en.roccat.org/Mice/Kone-Pure-SE and I'm very happy with it.

It is called a gaming mouse but it doesn't have a ridiculous number of buttons and the lights can be turned off. It is very accurate. Its biggest drawback is that it is a wired mouse, which I thought would be a problem but it hasn't been for me. The cable is flexible and long enough that it doesn't get caught like wired mice used to for me.
