Add 3rd party software / changing settings

Are there any issues, concerns other then using up cpu ticks and memory by installing things like a subversion server, I have a weather station software I would like to install, and adding virtual hosts to the lighttp server you are using for the management?

Answer I've got for the SVN Server

Hello,

It should be possible to install the SVN-port, see my ticket

Anyway I failed, because I don't know how to install ports persistantly on the Freenas RAM-file system.
If you succeed or have more information let me know, because I want also to run a SVN Server on my FN8 System.
