I am aware that SMB shares were broken in 11.1 U3. Read that it was fixed in U4, so I upgraded from 11.1 U1. SMB won't start along with the log messages about nmbd, winbind and a core dump. Testparm showed no errors. Anyone else still having problems with upgrading 11.1?

Hmmm, I thought my specs were in my signature.

Hmmmm, I must be doing something wrong. When i tried to nano winbindd.core and smbd.core at /var/db/system/cores from an OS X terminal it came up gibberish. Any suggestions?

Man this is troublesome. Is it possible my winbndd.core is 140 MB. Both core files were too big to upload. Kind of at a loss here.
