NAS Hardware:
Truenas Version: TrueNAS-13.0-U4
CPU- Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z390 I AORUS PRO WIFI Mini ITX
Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
10GB card: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZRSQM9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Cable from NAS to desktop: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0891NFR92?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
10GB card for desktop: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X9T683K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details (I have a second one which exhibits the same behavior when installed in the NAS
I have an existing iscsi share for my steam library connected through my local network. I want to create a dedicated 10GB direct connection between my desktop and my NAS. The card currently installed in the NAS shows as up with the ip address 0.0.0.0/8 no matter what I set the ip address to manually after a reboot. I have a second dual port card like the one in my desktop and I experience the same behavior. Before a reboot the manually set ip address is not selectable in the iscsi share portal configuration screen.
TLDR:
Direct 10GB connection between NAS and Desktop
Manually set IP address on NAS is not retained across reboots. It is always reset to 0.0.0.0/8 for both the single port card currently in the NAS and my second dual port 10GB card.
