Suggestions for handling errors after resilver

I replaced one drive in a 2 drive mirror and resilvered the mirror. The system is now reporting there are permanent errors in one specific file. The file isn't too important, but I restored it from another copy anyway. But zpool status is still reporting permanent errors on that file. The help...

gpart recovery arg0 'ada1': Invalid argument

Long time, first time... <TLDR>: (resolved?) I had an unavailable disk after upgrading and then reverting an HBA ada1 aka gptid/2725ca3e-3817-11e7-8768-00400510e336. I "replaced" it via the GUI, traceback occurred, but drive rejoined the vdev raidz2-1 without being resilvered. It feels like...

The pool - which I'm expanding - has been made up of 4 sets of mirrors (call them vdev1:{d1,d2}, vdev2:{d1,d2}, vdev3{d1,d2} and vdev4:{d1,d2}). I'm upgrading them to 3 way mirrors (I like mirrors...

zpool status - bad result (freenas-boot)

Hi! I just registered. I am rather new to FreeNAS and I would definitely call myself inexperienced. Though I've been hanging here a bit so I guess I've snapped one or another thing up. First of all; I've searched the forums and couldn't find a situation that really reflected mine, so I hope I...

    Identifying failed disk

On FreeNAS when a disk fails it's pretty hard to tell which disk is the culprit, especially on large storage arrays where you have many disks. In the FreeNAS web interface I can only see the gptid of the failed disk. If I click on the volume and then View Disks the failed disk no longer shows...
