Installation Error:Failed to Claim Memory

Hello, I'd like to make use of my older server (Dell PowerEdge 840) with 8GB RAM (the maximum supported), a Core 2 Quad processor, 1 SAS drive for TrueNAS installation, and 2 1TB SAS drives for the storage pool. However, I'm encountering an error that says "Failed to claim the memory." Sometimes the installation progress reaches 10%, and at other times, it reaches 50% before abruptly stopping due to a memory claim problem. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

You're having read errors on da3 which seems to be a USB device (maybe the install media).

Try a different device as that one seems no good.

Also, I want to clarify that I have a RAID controller, and didn't have an HBA, could that be the cause?

It doesn't seem specifically related, but you should know before you go down this road that a RAID controller used together with ZFS is a plan to lose the data on the pool(s).

tried with different usb sticks as well, still facing the same issue.
Are you sure that da3 represents the one that's the installer or is it the intended boot drive (also not recommended to use USB sticks for boot media).

da3 is a boot drive, using USB for installation purposes. Could this error be related to the memory issue?
Please guide me, I stuck here for many days.

In your screenshot, da3 is showing up as UMASS (USB Mass Storage).

What boot disk are you using to install to?

I have gone through these processes with the same result.
- tried with a different installer media USB with the same error.
- tried to install in a different storage with the same result.
- tried with an HBA with the same result
what should I do next?

Sounds like you're out of options for using that super-old hardware... time to try a different system.

"Amount of Available Memory limited to 256MB !
Strike the F1 Key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility"

"going into BIOS, disable OS Install Mode."
