Local External storage on Nextcloud

Hi! I've read all relevant threads for Scale and can't get the thing to work. I played with the permissions and currently I have my media folder as in the screenshot. Still does not work. Where else should I look into? I have Core server running too and it works fine on that box though and I remember it was a permission issue as well but I squared it away.

Please try to provide more information about your setup and explain in detail what the problem is, because by reading your post and thread title, I didn't understand what the problem is exactly.

I can not mount an external storage on Nextcloud which offers such option and I have it working om my Core server. It should allow mounting local storage - in my case /mnt/Main/media. This is the path to the folders and files which are located on my NAS. That simple

I have this setup working fine (with the TrueCharts NextCloud App). I have the dataset I want to share with www-data as Group in permissions (see pic).

I then have Custom App Storage defined in the App setup (see pic).

I am not using this configuration anymore due to the Bluefin changes that impact having an SMB Host Path. I add this mount ans an external SMB share from INSIDE NextCloud now.

im trying to make it work following your comments in this post... bluefin made things harder, can you provide me more information about mounting inside nextcloud?

I do not mount any paths in the App setup. I add an SMB Share INSIDE Nextcloud per pic below.

Looks like you need to define authentication / credentials for the external storage. See this link:

i fixed the problem. i was missing to specify the port i am using. thanks for the help

Hello, how were you able to do this? In my Nextcloud app I have the warning that smbclient is missing and so far I have not found a way to add it.

I am using the one that is available by default, which looking at it, it says "Catalog: Official." Is there a different one that you are using?
