Tunables have no effect

Hello,

I tried to add linux_enable=YES in the "Tunables" section and also performance_cpu_freq="LOW", but after a reboot nothing has changed an rc.conf still has the timestamp of the last update to 12.0-U3.1. Is it a bug or what do I do wrong?

Thanks
Markus

I think if this belongs anywhere, it isn't on the host system... perhaps in a jail, so not done with tunables.

performance_cpu_freq="LOW"
according to this: https://www.unix.com/man-page/FreeBSD/5/rc.conf/

that should do something if properly set with an RC type tunable.

In any case, for both of those you need to remember that you're not on a full FreeBSD install, so the custom kernel may not support everything on the manpage.
