Hey everyone,

I'm new to FreeNAS, so forgive me if this is something obvious.
I installed PlexMedia server and it works fine, but when I delete it, set Static IP's for my Jails
and reinstalled, it wont start. It says, "Some Error Occurred".
I cannot seem to find a Log of what it wrong, if you guys need this I understand and would ask
you where to find it.

Thanks very much in Advance,

Vashan

Did you delete the plugin or just the jail? The log messages should be in the messages file(/var/log/messages).

I deleted the plugin, which in turn removed the jail for me. I found the log, doesn't say much though;

May 5 18:07:15 plexmediaserver_1 newsyslog[62868]: logfile first created
May 5 18:07:15 plexmediaserver_1 syslogd: kernel boot file is /boot/kernel/kernel

Just for the heck of it, I uninstalled PMS again, set the Jails Config to DHCP. Now the service enables just fine, so must have something to do with the IP address...

Well, I solved it another way. Reserved an IP on my router with the MAC Address from the plex server. Seems easier. Thank you for all the help everyone.

I had the same issue before. You have to stop the PMS plugin first. Then you can change the IP. Start the plugin again.
