The pertinent output of 'zpool status -v RAID'
___
errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:

RAID:<0xf511>
RAID:<0x10912>
/mnt/RAID/Media/Videos/Movies/28.Days.Later.2002.mkv
...
RAID:<0xf0e9>
RAID:<0x106fd>
___

Earlier when I tried deleting the corrupted files the 'RAID:<0xf511>' like entries remained and other files got corrupted (ones I touched through nfs).
I believe the non-file name entries are corrupted metadata and I have no idea if I can get there errors to go away.

Not sure what caused this, I tried restoring from a 4hour old snapshot and errors persisted, I don't have any other snapshots. I backed up the possibly corrupted versions of the files listed.
I may boot into spinrite and see if that helps.

Thanks for anyones help, I really hope my drives are healthy...

did a scrub (only went about 5% through). I stopped the scrub 'zpool scrub -s RAID' rechecked the status and all errors were gone! Rechecked freenas webgui about 30minutes later and alert was green =]

I might scrub completely and reboot and check status again for good measure.
Moral of the story is scrub often and don't go deleting problem files, backup first, scrub, then maybe delete them.
