ZFS and Punctured Raid Arrays

Is ZFS susceptible to this phenomenon
To be charitable, that article is very unclear in actually answering the title question, and the information it contains seems to be specific to a particular flavor of RAID controller. But it sounds like a so-called "punctured" array is a parity RAID array with one disk's redundancy, which has one failed disk and a second with media errors. In such an array (which would be RAIDZ1, not RAIDZ2), yes, ZFS would likely have problems as well, though the odds are small that they'd kill the whole array.
