Hi
I have just built a freenas box using the parts left over from a PC upgrade and it seems to workm however I am struggling with a basic requirement, I am not very technical so I'll do my best to explain.
I have set up a couple of shares and I can map a network drive to them from a pc so I know they exist, however, I cannot write data to them from my pc.
I realize this will be user privileges thing and I dabbled with making a guest user and adding write privileges and then assigned that use as the owner of the share but it didnt work.
this box is purely for watching movies off and backing up to, I am the only one in the house who uses it so I dont need any security really, what I would like to know is the easiest way to allow all devices to write data to all shares, if thats possible? thanks for your time.
