GUI shows 9.10.2 U2 (which says "now"
GUI also shows:
9.10.2 U3
9.10.2 U6
11.0 U4 (which says "on reboot"

No amount of rebooting will it boot into anything newer than 9.10.2 U2.

I have scrubbed the boot volume with no change.

The GRUB menu does not show anything higher than 9.10.2 U2

Ideas?

Delete the other boot env and try upgrading again?

Also you need to read the rules again. Hardware specs should be included with all posts.

It doesn't say to put them in your signature. They need to be in the post because mobile platforms can't see signatures.

Yeah that is that I would do or just reinstall the version you want.

9.10.2 U2 is the current boot environment.

11.0 U4 has the delete option. when i hit delete, the screen asks to confirm then nothing happens. 11.0 U4 still listed. Even after a reboot to check.

9.10.2 U2 (current boot env) does NOT have a delete option as expected.

Ok...Got it deleted. I renamed the 11.0 U4 to another name. Then Hit delete and it worked this time. Glitch?

Ok...I'll try upgrading straight to 11 now.

using 9.10.2 U2 boot environment:

I was able to select 11 train but it would not update. It said nothing to update or something like that. 11 is no longer in the boot list. So I updated to the latest 9.10.2 U6. It installed and rebooted.....back into U2. In the GUI boot menu, it shows U2 as "now" and U6 as "on reboot" I rebooted and nothing changed.

ideas?

Selecting the boot environment in the GUI does not work. I selected 9.10.2 via GUI and rebooted. The GUI said 9.10.0 "on reboot". After rebooting, it still booted into U2.

Using the GRUB menu on boot up, there aren't any boot environments newer than U2. I selected 9.10.2 via the GRUB menu and continued with a normal boot and it went into 9.10.2.

For some reason, using the GUI does not actually work. Also, the GRUB menu doesn't update the newer versions on the boot list (U6 not listed).

Also, how about all the settings? VMs? etc? Do I have to redo all that?

Should be able to just upload your config and be done. Use a new USB to make sure just in case you mess up you can go back to your old USB.
