Won't accept password

I installed FreeNAS fine on my old computer. But when I went to log in on my laptop the password was not accepted. I went back and changed the password on the FreeNAS box but it's still not accepted. What did I miss?

Are you trying to login to the webgui? Are you using "root" for the username?

Per the forum rules at the top of the page, please provide detailed hardware information, as well as FreeNAS version.

Can you try using a different web browser on you laptop? Do you have any other machines that you could test the login with?

I can't remember if the installer displays the password - any chance you had the caps lock key on, when you entered the password on the server?

A thought: maybe a keyboard layout issue?
For any reason on your FreeNAS box you might have a different keyboard layout configured.
