Ok, I just upgraded my windows 7 PC....why did I upgrade? Good question!
In Windows 7 I could see my FreeNas server on under Network, Now I can't.
I have done a bunch of reading and am unsure if it is "STILL" a windows 10 Network issue??
Has anyone resolved this issue (Easily)
I am using WinSCP successfully so all is good...Just curios about the Network issue

Yeah, Network discovery is broken in Windows 10 (It was pretty broken for me on 7 and 8, so I don't know how most people had it working...).

More recently, even NetBIOS name resolution isn't working, which can be quite irritating.

I literally just dealt with this tonight setting up my father's FreeNAS in northern California. He thought windows 10 was so great till he figured out tons of things are broken or messed up.

Anyway it seems that windows 10 now is case sensitive. Make sure that your workgroup name in FreeNAS is ALL CAPS and you may want to do your CIFS server name in all lowercase along with the share name being all lowercase.

There are some other things you can look at here https://social.technet.microsoft.co...ws-10-after-update?forum=win10itpronetworking

But from what I can tell Microdorks decided to make changes in the middle of the game without telling anyone. But they would never ever do that would they?

Network Discovery was off by default, have you turned it on? What kind of shares is there on your FreeNAS?
