Hello,
I've tried following
http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Windows_(CIFS)_Shares and
http://www.makhttp://www.makeuseof....seof.com/tag/set-freenas-server-access-files/
to setup FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p7 on a VirtualBox VM in Ubuntu 12.04 x64 and a CIFS service share. However, I'm unable to access the CIFS share on my Windows 7 x64 machine. I'm able to ping the vbox and login and use the FreeNAS admin page via Chrome in my Win 7 machine. Windows cannot find \\freenas when I try through explorer. I have even tried changing the netbios name as suggested in http://forums.freenas.org/archive/index.php/t-371.html to no avail.
The guides just say the server shows up on the network, but I can't find anything suggesting "debugging" techniques. What am I missing / overlooking? Would appreciate any suggestions and help. Thanks,
Dirkle
