Where can I find instructions on setting up IPMI? I'm most interested in setting the warnings variables. The IPMI manual is useless and just describes what each function represents.

You mean change thresholds? I have a guide for that - two in fact. Check the X10 FAQ (link in my sig) - it's also applicable to other motherboards.
