The world is against me. Placed 2 orders with Newegg less than 30 seconds apart and one order arrived today, the other tomorrow. WTF. /cryinacorner

If the orders were for different items, they may be stocked in and shipped from different warehouses.

Or they used 2 boxes ( I hate when they do this) I hate it more when they drop ship items with no permission or indication on a front porch..

Both orders were the same thing, 6TB drives times 5, and my friend and I submitted just seconds apart. We were on the phone when the orders were made.

Depending on the situation I use either SATA or SAS drives.

In my current test / play rig I have 4TB Seagate Constellation SATA drives (enterprise) model no = ST4000NM0033.
I had one of these fail at 90 days. Infant mortality. Replaced under warranty.

I have 5 drives in Raid-Z2. They are all 4TB SATA drives. They are all NAS specific drives. I have two Seagate ST4000VN000 drives and three WD Red 4TB drives. As they fail, I'll upgrade one at a time to 6TB drives, and I'll slowly expand my capacity that way

I'm using my 10 6TB Reds on my server in a RAIDZ2 and very happy with them. No problems at all. The only thing to really keep in mind is that scrubs take a long time because it's a crapload of data. ;)

Compared to my 2TB drives the 6TB drives are about 50% faster, but are 300% bigger. So this is totally expected and normal.
