Hi all,

Have a FreeNAS box running in an AD environment and all appears OK except when trying to create new folders that end with S?

More bizarre is this only happens in some folders and certain names. When it does happen I get "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program"

The account used to create these folders is admin with full access.

Build FreeNAS-9.10.2-U4 (27ae72978)
Platform Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31270 @ 3.40GHz
Memory 16327MB

Hi anodos,

Thanks for the reply.

Meant to mention previously that I have started receiving the following email. Not sure if this has anything to do with issue?

Code:
kernel log messages:
> pid 68811 (smbd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) pid 68994
> (smbd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) pid 70109 (smbd), uid

Hi All,

Had need to reboot this box 16/10 and noticed during boot it mentioned that smb4.conf failed to load.

Is there a way to check if it has loaded or not. Nothing in dmesg now :(
