Hi All,
I have build my first NAS it is not so perfect but this is what i had for 100$.
I had IBM IntelliStation M Pro 9229.
Intel Core 2 processor E6700.
4*750 on SAS controller.
1*750 on SATA.
1*160 on SATA (Running OS).
4GB RAM (I know that ZFS recommended 8GB on the way 4 more will arrive this week).
RAIDZ1 with 5*750.
1Ggigabit switch.
So i configure it and its working very well till yesterday, once im connecting to the GUI its taking about 2 min to load the left panel of it:
I reboot the system and now its seems to work fine but not sure if this is the solution to do it each time that such thing happen.
I used to run FreeNAS on VMWare workstation for about a week to test it before i start to build the physical, and i had the same problem there very frequently.
Will appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
