Hi,
so I received my drives today. I ordered 5 WD Red 8 TB (WD80EFAX)
3 came obviously damaged (1 damaged SATA Port and two hits to the plastic where the SATA Port is). These 3 were drives without helium.
Then I got another one without helium which isnt damaged as I could see something.
And the last one was helium filled as I expected all drives to be.

I thought helium was better because it needs less power and its the HGST Technology WD bought recently. Also the helium one says manufactured september 2018. I'd prefer that over old drives. Is there a downside to using helium and non helium drives?
Should I return all the non helium drives and get all helium?

Dont know what to do here.

Non helium will be faster, since they have higher density platters, helium will be cooler and use less power, which one is best depends on your priorities.

I would (and have in the past) send back anything that was not what I paid for.
Were the drives bought as refurbished?

Keep in mind that the non helium drives are a newer model than the helium ones, so likely and as stocks run out everyone will start getting those.
