volume permissions will not stick HELP!!!

I am setting up a Plex server my volume permission to write in the "Others" category will not stay I check the box hit the change button the to banner seas "mount point permission changed successfully" however I cannot add media to the folder from my windows 8.1 machine it tells me I do not have permission and when I go back and check the volume permissions the box is unchecked again I have tried it over and over with the same result.

If you still having problems, please provide move information about your server, including the FreeNAS version you are running, and your Plex installation (jail, docker, vm, etc).
