vm boot is loading shell first

hi
I have installed debian 10 in a VM. After resetting to a snapshot the VM only boots into the shell. I rebuilt the disk according to the instructions and changed the boot order. Over 15 times already. Still loads the shell.
Booting via file works.
When I erase the disk, save and reboot the VM, the disk is entered into the system again.
