Hi all!
I have a FreeNAS installation (11.0) that was correctly working.
Today I have decided to make some upgrades, so I upgraded all jails, vm, and then also FreeNAS.

I have an ubuntu VM where I executed
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
shutdown

After the reboot I have started the VM again, it doesn't boot correctly. On VNC I see this message: Boot Failed. EFI Hard Drive. After a pair of minuts a Shell starts (the bhyve bios shell).

I thinked that, becouse of the VM upgrade, the disk changed to from UEFI to EFI, so I had made a rollback from a snapshot of 4 days ago, but this didn't fixed anyway the trouble.

Any idea on what I can do to fix that?

Ok, I've found how to fix it! :D

I mounted the iso of the ubuntu installation disk. Then I booted from the ISO, and choised Resque Mode.
I followed the steps, selected the root mount, and then I choised two options:
- reinstall grub
- reinstall grub to a removable drive (or something like that, I don't remember the text of that option).

Then I rebooted and removed the ISO. And now it works again!
