I set up a Virtual Machine with FreeNAS.
I can use it with the built in browser VNC in the web interface, but when I use IP and port to connect with VNC Viewer it says that the connection was closed unexpectedly.
user and password are not set, at least I'm not getting a prompt for it.
Any ideas?

Which version of FreeNAS? Is there a firewall on the network? Which OS is running VNC Viewer?

Thanks. Have you configured the VNC device in the Devices menu for that virtual machine (in the FreeNAS UI)?

Hi @dlavigne,

Go easy on me, I'm a newbie to FreeNAS.

I setup a FreeNAS on a couple weeks ago and started a couple VM's. Everything was running fine and I too was running via the VNC web bhyve - noVNC without issues. Recently this has stopped working. The VM's I have all no longer work beyond a couple minutes (Windows 10 and Mint Linux). I thought installing a local version of realVNC might help but it has not. I've tired changing ports and checking firewalls.

My current version of FreeNAS is : FreeNAS-11.2-U6

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
