user sync

Hello,

I have two freenas servers and i was woundering if there was possible to sync users between them (with password).

The whole idea is that I only have to make one user account pr person and dont have to log on to both servers.

(the servers are on different networks and portforwarding isnt something i have access to atm.)

Possibly some sort of identity management would be the answer? Some sort of LDAP thing perhaps?

I donno what sort of other computers are involved but if there's a lot of Windows machines, some sort of AD setup? SAMBA can fill in nicely, and if you want to lower the AD administration curve the Univention server is a pretty nice way to do that. The UCS can be used free of charge, they offer prices for setup and support contracts.
