User Folders?

When setting up new user profiles, what is the purpose of the user folder? I plan to use FreeNas as 100% media storage and only need to create a media user for plugins, do I still need to create a user folder via dataset called "Media" and point the user to that folder?

Does it save data there?

Think of a server where you have lots of users (big family, small business, etc). Sometimes you want them to have their own space on the server to store files...that's what user folders are for.

You can leave the user folder to be /noexists and it won't create one. This will work but could cause strange behavior for things later on.
