Hi all,

I've attempted to install the latest stable 9.10 stable, but I'm seeing an error "Unable to mount boot-environment" (see attached screenshot also).

I've carried out a scrub and everything seems healthy (screenshots attached).

I'm inclined to restart, but if there is a problem with the boot drive I don't want to damage it any further.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

it didn't reboot after the upgrade, and instead I got an error message in the GUI "Error: Unable to mount boot-environment 9.10-STABLE-201606072003"

This same thing happened to me about one month ago. The update installed but there was no reboot!
I simply went back to the previous boot environment, and after FreeNAS came back online, made a quick
check to make sure everything was normal.
Taking no chances, I downloaded a fresh iso of the most recent Stable Version and performed a fresh install,
then imported the config file that I saved before attempting the update (I always save a copy before
making ANY changes;))
The whole process took 15min. and was stress free:)

Make sure your boot usb has free space and maybe clean up some of the old boot environments you don't need anymore then try again.
