Just build my first FreeNAS and got it running like it should for a few days now. I need some suggestion what board I could replace it with that support LGA1155 CPU I currently have. I do want link aggravation, and adding 4 additional drives so some supermicro board comes with 3 Nics and 8 port sata that would saves me from buying additional SAS controller and dual NIC for current setup. I do have 6x8GB ECC Registered 1333 rams that I could use or 6x16GB ECC PC8500. Let me know what do you guys recommends.
I'll be using the NAS mainly for Documents, RAW images for Lightroom/Photoshop editing from the NAS and running NextCloud.
Just myself using the NAS, I do want to improve transfer rate greater than 100mbps tho.
