Upgrade to TrueNAS-22.12.4.2 first, then reconfigure the pools or vice versa?

Currently been sitting on TrueNAS-22.12.1 for quite a while now. (both servers)
Need to reconfigure my VDevs & Pools on my Personal Server (See Signature) as I have acquired some new drives (bigger)
Looking for recommendation on order to perform:

Alternative A:

1. TrueNAS-22.12.1 -> TrueNAS-22.12.4.2
2. Reconfigure the VDevs & Pools

Alternative B:

1. Reconfigure the VDevs & Pools
2. TrueNAS-22.12.1 -> TrueNAS-22.12.4.2

Either way backups will be performed!
