I think my LSI 9207-8i HBA card might be overheating, causing a lot of read errors after running an overnight database workload, so I am thinking of trying to reapply the thermal paste, and maybe even change to a better heatsink or add a fan to the heatsink. There is no thermocouple or FLIR cameras around for me to check the HBA heatsink temps.

Does anyone have experience upgrading the heatsink or adding a fan to LSI HBA cards? Which heatsink/fan have do you recommend?

Thanks!
